Obi Fernandez

is an explorer at heart spending his days fully realizing his passion for life, faith and the creative spirit. He’s a man of many talents: singer, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur, designer, food lover, soul music fanatic, and dedicated family man. His long-standing group, Westbound Train (Hellcat Records), has toured the world and shared the stage with the likes of Rancid, The Specials, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and many more. His debut solo record, Confessions, Waves, and the Garden State (2012, Paper + Plastick) while recorded at Hurley Studios in Los Angeles, is a reggae-and-soul-inspired love letter to his home state of New Jersey. Currently, Obi is the founder and owner of Meen Machine UNLTD, a boutique merchandising company with clients including The Front Bottoms, Rayland Baxter and Flor De Toloache. He is also excited to be working with long-time friend and collaborator Vinnie Fiorello on the new graphic novel "The Inevitable's". Through it all, Obi seeks out innovative ways to nurture creative communities, big and small, near and far.
